POSITION SUMMARY:
To help drive our continued growth, we are looking for a high energy, result-focused individual in the following role. Position: Quality Manager Salary Range: Based on skills and experience Reports to: Director, Operations Support Location: Flexible – Toronto/Cambridge/Burlington Role Focus: The successful incumbent will spear-head the drive towards establishing a “quality culture” – still in the early stages in our Company. More specifically, this person will design and implement a closed-loop Quality system to include problem identification, process improvement, corrective action tracking and communication of resolution to the business.
Key Responsibilities: •Develop a strategy for the implementation of quality assurance across the organization •Prepare annual budget & plan for the Quality function and report on any variances •Identify and recommend a process improvement methodology for the organization •Review existing policies, procedures and training material to ensure they meet quality assurance requirements •Identify key policies & processes that would value from process improvement or standardization •Lead the re-design of existing processes and assess new processes or initiatives for quality assurance gaps •Design and develop a quality assurance scorecard for the organization •Develop and implement quality assurance audit measures and perform quality assurance audits •Develop non-conformance testing, tracking, trending and reporting •Facilitate non-conformance corrective action measures
Qualifications: •Minimum of 5 years experience in a Quality function •Extensive experience in ISO 9001 or other recognizable quality system •A Six-sigma designation or experience would be an asset •Proven process mapping ability •Demonstrated process implementation ability across an organization •Significant experience in best-practice quality auditing and non-conformance tracking •Ability to facilitate root-cause analysis and improvement plans •Excellent communication skills •Although this individual will have no direct reports, they will be required to influence and provide direction to a multitude of cross-functional business partners •Strong project management skills •High capacity to work in and lead an evolving organization •Outstanding relationship building skills with internal and external contacts Interested candidates should send their resume and letter of interest, in complete confidence.
