POSITION SUMMARY:

The Quality Manager - Fuel Handling will lead the Nuclear Products Fuel Handling Quality Assurance initiatives. He/she will be responsible for the following: • QA Manual and procedures • Customer and internal audits • Jurisdictional authorities (i.e. ISO 9001, CSA, TSSA, ASME) re audits • Supervision of up to six Associates • Function as a consultant on non-destructive test techniques including liquid penetrant, magnetic particle analysis, ultrasonic testing and radiography • Implement a corrective and preventative action program and oversee reviews of the overall effectiveness of the company's Nuclear Products QA Program • As a change agent, you will drive continuous improvement and efficiencies in the Quality Assurance function and move the business to a true "build quality in" position.
The Candidate The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications, capabilities and skills. • Mechanical or Metallurgical/Geotechnical Engineering degree or an equivalent level of education and experience • Previous QA program experience where you gained detailed knowledge of ASME,NCA 3800 and 4000, AINSI/ASME NQA-1, CSA/CAN-N285/286, Z299 and ISO 9000 Codes • Customer focused • Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal and communication skills • Previous experience interfacing with Product Design Engineering and technical skills on non-destructive test qualifications are required.
Reporting To The Nuclear Products Quality Assurance, Environmental Health and Safety and Six-Sigma Leader.
