JOB SUMMARY:
Leisureworld Caregiving Centre – Orillia is home to 160 residents and currently has openings for Part Time Registered Practical Nurse.
RESPONSIBILITIES (But not limited to):
• Prepares and administers prescribed, routine, medications and treatments as directed by Physician and RN
• Prepares residents for transfers or departures
• Prepares and maintains documentation such as charts, records and incidents reports
• Exercise sound nursing judgment in the timely reporting of any change in client status to the RN as necessary, and takes appropriate action
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Current registration with the College of Nurses
• Proven organizational, observational, interpersonal and communication skills
• Minimum of two years of long-term care experience preferred
• Must be able to effectively read, write and communicate in the English language
EDUCATION:
• Registered Practical Nurse certification
• Certificate in gerontological nursing preferred
• Current BCLS or Heart Saver Certificate an asset
