POSITION SUMMARY:
Position: Nurse Managers
Term: Permanent

JOB SUMMARY:
Leisureworld Caregiving Centre – Orillia is home to 160 residents and currently has an opening for a part time Nurse Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES (But not limited to):
· Monitoring and evaluation of unit staff compliance with facility and service policies and procedures
· Liaising with other services in the facility
· Preparing written performance appraisals for all unit staff on assigned shift
· Serve on committees, which affect the service
· Discipline of staff according to facilities policies and procedures
· Participating in programs to monitor, evaluate and improve the quality of nursing services provided by the unit
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Current registration as a registered nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario
· Minimum 3 years geriatric and management experience
EDUCATION:
· Post Graduate studies in nursing, nursing administration and geriatrics required
