POSITION SUMMARY:
Manage the development, implementation and evaluation of the marketing, communications, and public relations functions at The Centre.
Participate in developing the annual strategic plan; create communications work plan and assist with developing and implementing program-specific marketing plans.
Develop an annual operating plan and budget, forecasting requirements, monitoring variances and initiating corrective actions, as required.
Ensure the production of key communications and promotional materials and publications, including the annual report.
Oversee the ongoing development and operation of online tools and search marketing tactics as a dynamic part of the communications plan.
Define, develop, implement and evaluate a media and community relations program.
Identify and respond to awareness and promotion opportunities.
Foster and maintain strong relationships in the marketing and communications environment.
Initiate market research activities and analyze data to track labour market trends, client profiles, and changes in the industry in order to inform staff and take advantage of marketing opportunities.
Ensure The Centre's brand is consistent throughout all marketing and communications materials and develop key messages aligned with the brand.
Liaise with clients, partners and suppliers, negotiate price and quality with suppliers, as required.
Supervise Project Assistant(s) and Graphic Designer(s)
Manage and be actively involved with the coaching, mentoring, career development, training, and performance management of the communications team
