NQI offers a certification program for professionals to be recognized for their expertise in Quality and Healthy Workplace.

Completing all five levels of the program will earn you two recognized NQI designations. After the completion of Level 3 you reach the first major milestone and you will receive a mounted certificate and wallet card designating your status as an “NQI Certified Excellence Professional (NQI CEP®)".

After the completion of Level 5 you will complete the full program and receive a mounted certificate and wallet card designating your status as an “NQI Certified Excellence Leader (NQI CEL®)" and your name will also be published on the NQI website.

5 Levels to the Program

The Leadership Excellence Program has 5 Levels, with levels 1, 2 & 3 (NQI CEP®) covering a curriculum of Quality Foundations, and levels 4 & 5 (NQI CEL®) focusing on the Individual's Leadership Competencies and Skills in Tactical & Strategic Deployment.

While progressing through the Leadership Excellence Program, Students will be required to develop and apply skills within each of the Framework for Excellence Drivers.

Candidate applies competencies & techniques within Framework for Excellence during tactical & strategic initiatives (system improvement vs. process improvement)

Established scope & metrics for level of achievement

Leadership Excellence Coach provides coaching, & verification for certification (regulated & validated)

Levels 4 & 5 are targeted at Member companies

Facilitates individual learning of application tools within Frameworks (Quality, HWP, Integrated, etc.)

Recognition of individuals at the Canada Awards for Excellence

Certified Excellence Leader (NQI CEL®)

Level 4

Focuses on leadership competencies and tactical improvement. Assigned a ‘Leadership Excellence Coach’ to help with tactical improvement initiative.

Combined classroom courses, on-site coaching and tactical improvement initiative.

Required Courses:

• Tactical Improvement Initiative - 1-day on-site coaching and additional 8 hours online coaching over 6 months
• Choose a minimum of four (4) NQI CEL® Electives
