Excellence in Canada . . .
Sustaining Our Place in the World
I invite you to join me along with the
NQI Board of Governors and leaders from innovative organizations
as we celebrate achievements in Excellence and share in a learning
experience that will benefit and impact your organization. The Excellence
Summit and Canada Awards for Excellence ceremony is a demonstration
of what is possible in Canada and how we represent ourselves to
the world.
This year’s program was inspired by the
large number of responses to our national survey on what motivates
people and organizations to Excellence. We are especially excited
about hosting international quality award winners and look forward
to their compelling stories which show that Excellence has become
a world wide movement. We will hear from Canadian organizations
that have received our own national recognition, the Canada Awards
for Excellence.
NQI was created ten years ago as a unique partnership
between the Government of Canada and private sector leaders. NQI
is a national, not-for-profit organization that provides a Roadmap
for Excellence as a way for organizations, big and small, private
sector and public sector, to achieve excellence through workplace
innovation and sustainable performance improvement. The NQI vision
of “Inspiring excellence in Canada” is symbolized through
the Canada Awards for Excellence and the wide range of organizations
that have demonstrated their commitment to Excellence resulting
in improved competitiveness, profitability and healthy workplaces.
I look forward to greeting you in Toronto on
October 29, 2003.
