What is a good way for us to identify our key processes?

John Perry replies:

You ID key processes by asking the right questions; for example, asking about the key activities of the organization (high level review). Then ask about the actions that are critical to enable the organization to do a good job on key activities. You boil it down to what is important. There are tons of sub-processes in every system and it’s easy to become process mad, sinking beneath process maps and process review reports.
