The Quality Journey of the Ontario Ministry of Northern Development, Mines & Forestry
MNDMF’s (Ministry of Northern Development, Mines & Forestry) Quality Journey began with an organizational review and climate survey (staff survey) in 1999, which culminated in a three-year Quality Plan. The plan had 35 focus areas, with a number of recommendations for improvement in each. After a two-year implementation plan, MNDMF identified significant improvements in its 2001 climate survey. However, the human and financial resources needed to complete that inventory of improvements were unsustainable.
