What is RABQSA? RABQSA International (RABQSA) is a not-for-profit organization and one of the world's leading certification organizations for the provision of accredited personnel and training certification services and related professional development services. A wide variety of organizations employ our certified persons for the purposes of improving business performance.
What is the relationship between RABQSA and NQI? RABQSA and NQI have formed a strategic partnership in an effort to raise the international recognition of both RABQSA and NQI certification services. This strategic partnership is not a merge, and each organisation shall retain its own corporate identity,;however they will work closely together to enhance each other's expertise and momentum to innovate and improve personnel and training certification.
Why is this transition taking place? Both organizations recognize that the marketplace is evolving and that competency-based auditor certification is required to maintain and enhance the credibility of management system auditors around the world.
When will this change take effect? This transition will take effect from April 1st, 2005 at which point you will receive an NQI-RABQSA Certification pack that will contain your new certificate and wallet identification card.

What is the difference between RABQSA and NQI certification? Both organizations' auditor certification programs are based on accredited programs to ISO/IEC 17024:2003 -General Requirements for bodies operating certification schemes for persons.
RABQSA has evolved its program to a competency-based model, which both organizations believe will improve the certification process for auditors, providing a higher level of confidence to organizations utilizing auditor services either directly or through a registrar.
What affect with the transition have on my certification? Your certification will be ‘grandfathered’ to the appropriate RABQSA certification scheme, and therefore your renewal and recertification anniversaries shall remain unchanged. There is minimal difference between the NQI and RABQSA grades; therefore your grade shall remain unchanged.

What do I need to do now? RABQSA and NQI is taking care of all the necessary details to complete this transition, therefore you are not required to do anything. Your new dual RABQSA--NQI certificate and ID card will arrive in the mail shortly.
