Membership Benefits and Value

Membership benefits are managed by NQI’s Relationship Manager in conjunction with your organization’s designated Member Contact. In addition, you will be assigned an NQI Point of Contact who will ensure that your training and consulting needs are being met. This team approach ensures that you are fully aware of your membership benefits and take advantage of as many of them as possible.

Once your organization is a member of NQI, all your employees are entitled to enjoy the benefits of membership. Each employee becomes part of a community made up of quality and healthy workplace professionals and practitioners (NQI CEP® and NQI CEL®) who are dedicated to organizational excellence. Being part of an extensive community provides each individual employee of the member organization with a unique opportunity to network, facilitate the exchange of information, share best practices, and utilize NQI products and training that have helped thousands of organizations on their journey.

NQI’s Framework for Excellence and Healthy Workplace® Criteria
These are the criteria used for the adjudication of the Canada Awards for Excellence (CAE). The CAE awards program is Canada’s pre-eminent recognition program for organizational excellence. Over the past 24 years, more than 300 leading organizations from the private and public sector have been awarded a CAE for their outstanding performance and leadership in organizational excellence. Many recipients of this prestigious award report an increase in customer satisfaction, employee productivity and loyalty, profitability, and waste reduction. Only members can obtain the Excellence Criteria, available for Quality (private or public sector); Healthy Workplace®; and Quality & Healthy Workplace® and use these comprehensive and practical materials to improve their organization’s performance and results.

NQI Members’ Resource Centre
Each employee of a member company can access this members-only section of the NQI website by creating a personal user profile, username and password. Use your member login to download in-depth articles, topic-specific presentations and other information and innovative tools available exclusively to members, as well as purchase products and services at your membership discount.

Business Performance Improvement Resource (BPIR)
The Member Contact receives one free password to this international online database of best practices, performance management tools, and case studies. www.nqi.bpir.com

Quarterly NQI Members’ Newsletter
All member employees who indicate ”add me to the email list” on their login profile currently receive regular NQI email announcements regarding upcoming training and events, press releases, and other news. A quarterly NQI Members’ Newsletter with features on specific member benefits, profiles, and member news is being developed for 2009 for email distribution to Member Contacts and potential members.

The Member Contact receives one free subscription to this newsletter featuring the quality and healthy workplace success stories of Canada Awards for Excellence. PDFs of these newsletters can be downloaded for free from the Member’s Resource Centre and additional hard copies are available for purchase at the NQI Store.

Use of NQI Member Logo
Proudly display the NQI Member logo on your website, stationery, marketing materials, and event banners. Publicize your association with NQI, a national organization committed to helping Canadian organizations become world-class leaders.

Listing on the NQI Website
Your organization’s name will be listed on the NQI website along with a hyperlink to your home page or other designated page, connecting you to the thousands of people who visit the NQI website daily.

Membership Plaque & Renewal Decals
Display your membership plaque in the reception areas of all your locations to alert your visitors to your association with NQI. Upon joining, members receive one laminated membership certificate for their level of membership. Upon receipt of annual renewal payment renewal decals are sent to be affixed to the plaque. Additional plaques can be purchased as needed.

Listing in NQI’s Annual Globe & Mail and National Post Supplements
All member organizations are listed in this annual supplement distributed in the Globe and Mail and the National Post following the annual Canada Awards for Excellence event.

Recognition of NQI Membership When Submitting Requests for Proposals
Mention your NQI Membership when submitting RFPs and enhance your reputation as an organization committed to excellence.

Member-to-Member (M2M) Benefits

Free Job Postings on NQI Website
NQI member organizations who wish to post quality- or healthy workplace-related jobs can submit postings online. The job will be posted free of charge for one month, if no deadline is indicated. Non-member advertisers must pay for this service. Click here for more information.

NQI Regional Network Meetings
The Member Contact (or designated representative) is invited by email to participate in regional NQI Network Meetings. These are a great opportunities to network, learn, share best practices, and meet other members and some prospective members. Meetings are held throughout the year in Toronto, Ottawa, Vancouver, Halifax, and other selected cities based on demand. For members that are not able to attend a meeting, the presentations are posted in the Members Resource Centre. For news about upcoming events, click here.

Attend NQI Events at the Member’s Rate

The following additional benefits are available to organizations who purchase Silver, Gold and Platinum Partner levels of membership:

  • Seat on the Board of Governors (Platinum only)
  • Peer assessment against NQI PEP® or CAE criteria (maximum 5 days) (Platinum only)
  • Participation & involvement on advisory committees (Platinum only)
  • 2 free seats at NQI Performance Excellence Summit and CAE Awards Gala (Platinum and Gold only)
  • 3 training or consulting days at $4,000 per day (Platinum and Gold only)
