National Quality Institute - Progressive Excellence Program (NQI-PEP)

The National Quality Institute Healthy Workplace Progressive Excellence Program (NQI-PEP) is the implementation "roadmap" for the Canadian Healthy Workplace Criteria. There are four levels to NQI-PEP, with the opportunity for external validation and NQI certification at each level. Organizations that have achieved all four levels can apply for recognition of their outstanding achievement through the prestigious Canada Awards for Excellence: Healthy Workplace Award. This coveted award is tangible evidence of organizational excellence.

PEP General (all levels)

• featuring organizations that provide resources for developing and sustaining all aspects of a healthy workplace, case studies, journals and newsletters.

PEP Level 1

• featuring resources useful to building a solid commitment to a healthy workplace

PEP Level 2

• featuring resources useful to establishing an integrated, strategic planning process for the development of a health workplace

PEP Level 3

• featuring resources useful to implementing methods that develop and sustain a healthy workplace environment

PEP Level 4

• featuring resources useful to ensuring a sustained healthy workplace focus and to measuring progress
