Performing a Search
You can link to any of the Healthy
Workplace Resources by five different methods:
- Getting
Started
For those who want to gain commitment and learn how to
build a healthy workplace, we suggest you link to Getting
Started. There you will see a list of organizations that
provide the business cases, healthy workplace training,
a criteria/framework, and/or a step-by-step process for
developing a healthy workplace. Both NQI and Health Canada
are featured in this section.
- By NQI-PEP
Level
Resources here are categorized according to where you
are on the healthy workplace journey. See About NQI-PEP
for a description of the four steps in the journey. To
search for resources applied to each step, click on Search,
then NQI-PEP.
- By Alphabetical
listing
Use this feature to link to a specific organization (e.g.,
NQI) or a specific resource (e.g., Canadian Healthy Workplace
Criteria). Note: resources that begin with "the"
are listed under the next word in the title, e.g., The
Canadian Labour and Business Centre is listed under "C".
- By Topic
If, for example, you are working on developing a healthy
workplace policy and want to search for resources, select
Search, then Topic, then Policy.
- By Key word
search
For example, if you were searching for the Canadian Healthy
Workplace Criteria – go to Search then Key Word,
If you search for "Canadian Healthy Workplace Criteria,"
you will get a longer list of resources than if you entered
only "criteria". This is because the key word
search will look for resources with any of the words listed.
So, when using this function, try to narrow your search
to as few key words as possible e.g., search for "stress"
instead of "stress management."
